In-Service Meeting
Columbus Day Weekend

We will discuss club business but there will be no speaker today.

Did You Know...Columbus Day celebrations date back to 1792, when New York City celebrated the 300th anniversary of Columbus's landfall?

Across the country, states, cities and schools are observing Indigenous Peoples Day instead of Columbus Day. The US federal government doesn't officially recognize Indigenous Peoples' Day; the formal name of the federal holiday is still “Columbus Day.” However, state and local governments are free to use whatever name they want for this day, and a variety of places have officially renamed the holiday.
