We missed you President Jeff!  But the meeting went flawlessly in the very capable hands of Vaughan Winborne.  Acting President Vaughan called the meeting to order at 12:03.  The Pledge was led by Karl Eberhard.  America the Beautiful was led by Mike Hosking.  (We REALLLLLLY missed you Hoppy!).  Following a moment of silence, our 6 visitors and visiting Rotarians were introduced.  In his Rotary moment, Eric Walden talked about Growing Local Economies, one of the 6 RI causes.  This includes such things as microloans, breaking the cycle of poverty for women, skill development and business training and sustainable farming.  He also included some disturbing information about albinism in Tanzania and how Rotary is helping.  Meredith Potts updated us on the Mongolia Global Grant.  Due to insufficient funding, Phase II has been postponed until Spring 2020.  Michael Casey introduced the new Rotaract President, Elizabeth, from Sri Lanka.

Guest speakers Erin Creekmur and Janet Dean from APS were introduced.  Erin talked about the current 3 year line inspection cycle and the importance of keeping trees away from the lines, from a safety standpoint as well as to continue to provide reliable power.  They work with homeowners when necessary, and also with the local fire community.  Janet discussed some of the various customer assistance programs currently available.  They left us with gifts of pen and LED lightbulbs!

Visiting Rotarian Dave Kinsey led us in the 4 Way test, and the meeting was adjourned at 12:58.
