Main Street Singers
         Currently celebrating the ensemble's Thirty Second Anniversary Season, the Main Street Singers continues to perform a wide variety of works, ranging from Renaissance to Contemporary. The acclaimed group’s accomplishments have been earmarked by consistently high calibre of repertoire, performed with expressive skill and musical nuance. The Main Street Singers is committed to the pursuit of choral excellence, a dedication and discipline which can be found in every performance. The 2016-2017 Main Street Singers is comprises 30 voices auditioned from the many members of the Los Altos High School Music Department's choral ensembles, including: Concert Choir, Girls Twenty-One, Chorale, Girls Ensemble,Varsity Men’s Glee, and Bella Vocé. These young adults, sixteen to eighteen, come from a diversity of backgrounds while sharing an intensely committed passion for music. 
 
        Mark Andrew Shaull has been the director of Main Street Singers since its inception in 1984. Under his direction they have achieved a truly international reputation, having performed over three hundred and fifty international concerts in annual spring concert tours to sixty-four countries, spanning six continents, and performing works in forty-one languages. The upcoming concert tour in the spring of 2017 holds great promise as the ensemble will once again journey to Germany, Austria and Switzerland participating in a rewarding seventeen day concert tour, highlighted with cultural exchanges and musical offerings culminating with their third participation in the Montreux International Choral Festival in Switzerland.
