Rotation Day - Neighborhood House

Program: How Neighborhood House works with families to break out of poverty and build safe, stable, rewarding lives. Tour of our work in the Wellstone Center will follow lunch.

Description of Neighborhood House:  From youth programs and English classes for adults, to housing assistance and open-air produce distributions that bring fresh fruits and vegetables directly into the neighborhoods most affected by hunger, Neighborhood House aggressively pursues a vision for St. Paul where every community member can access the support and resources they need to live successful, fulfilling lives. Founded in 1897 to meet the needs of a burgeoning refugee population on St. Paul’s West Side, today Neighborhood House offers services in 8 locations throughout St. Paul and serves over 15,000 immigrants, refugees, and longtime community members each year.

Maximum 35 participants.

Location
We will be in the Wellstone Center, 179 Robie Street East. There is a parking ramp attached to the building and there should be space in the ramp that day.  There is a map on our website. Here is a link. The link to the map in google is towards the bottom of the page.

What is Rotation Day?

When Paul Harris founded Rotary in 1905, meetings were held at the members’ place of business – rotating from member company to member company – hence the name “Rotary.”  For our club, Rotation Day is an event which brings us back to our “roots” and gives us the opportunity to gain new insights into the vocational challenges and business issues which are unique to our fellow Rotarians.
