Rotation Day - Cookie Cart

If crossing the river sounds daunting, consider the fresh cookies you will have the opportunity to taste at Cookie Cart once you make the journey!   Matt Halley, Executive Director of Cookie Cart, is offering Rotarians a unique opportunity to tour this non-profit, youth-operated bakery.  Over lunch he will discuss the opportunities and challenges of opening a bakery for teens on Saint Paul’s Payne Avenue.  You can guess what might be for dessert.

Maximum 35 participants.

1119 West Broadway Ave, Minneapolis (about ½ mile West from West Broadway exit off 94). Enter café through front door.  Parking on the street or surface lot behind the building.  For surface lot, enter on Freemont and ring intercom at back door.

What is Rotation Day?

When Paul Harris founded Rotary in 1905, meetings were held at the members’ place of business – rotating from member company to member company – hence the name “Rotary.”  For our club, Rotation Day is an event which brings us back to our “roots” and gives us the opportunity to gain new insights into the vocational challenges and business issues which are unique to our fellow Rotarians.
