Rotary International President Tree Planting Initiative | Monday, May 21st between 5-7 PM
 
At the Rotary International Convention last year, our RI President gave each club the challenge of planting 1 tree for each Rotary member in each club around the world. Our club has accepted this challenge and a grant from the City of St. Paul donating the tree seedlings.
 

LOGISTICS

When: Monday, May 21, 2018 @ 5:00-7:00 pm

Where: Meet at the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Fireplace in the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom (MAP).

Parking: There is a parking lot directly across from the fireplace. Cars can also park anywhere along Wynne Ave (where there is more shade).

 

PROJECT INFORMATION

Project: You will be planting seedlings in the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom. 

Materials Provided: Gloves and all tools needed for the project.

Materials to bring: Full water bottles for drinking, sun screen, sun glasses, and tick/mosquito repellent.

Suggested attire: Long pants and closed-toe shoes. Appropriate clothing to get wet and/or muddy. Remember you will be working outside, so don’t wear your best! Volunteers will not be able to participate if they do not have closed-toed shoes on.

 

*When possible, do not bring valuables with you. There is no place to store valuables and personal items on-site. Additionally, it is not safe to store valuables in your car or on a bus. If you must bring your valuables and personal items with you, store them in the trunk of a car BEFORE you arrive at the park.*
