It is time for Past President Michael-jon's Roast. This event was going to be in person but, well, you know, 2020 had something to say about that. What do we do now?
"That's a good question, Mr. Michael-jon. And one we need to answer quickly if we're going to get out of this house (your reign) alive."
So, now, here we are trying to pick up the pieces in the next Rotary year. Rotarians are still wondering what happened to our theatrical leader, inspirational monologues, puns and green beans.
We don't know for sure but there could be some clues on Thursday, August 20, in the club's Zoom Room. Register here to receive zoom details and more updates as the event approaches. Here is what you need to know now:
5:01pm - THE Roast of the Year launches in the Zoom Room. Make sure your champagne is chilled in case toasts emerge. Arrive up to 10 minutes early for disaster evidence.
7:20pm - In true 2020 fashion, join Rotarians for a car parade by Michael-jon's home. Meeting place details will be sent via e-mail. We might even drive by and say hello to Sue Cammack. Arrive as early as 6:30 to decorate. Contact Ken Schaefer with questions.
