Event:           Planting Trees with Roots for Trees
Date:             May 31, 2018 5:00 PM  -  7:00 PM

Location:       TBD

The Rotary International President, Ian Riseley has challenged every Rotary club to make a difference by planting a tree for each of its members. Trees remove carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from the air, which slows global warming.

Our Club is partnering with the City of Edmonton's Roots for Trees. Their Guided Planting Event will help us meet our environmental and community service targets, while having a fun day in nature!

They will supply our group with:

A Program Leader who will provide our group with a planting demonstration, safety talk, and interesting facts about Edmonton's urban forest
Native tree and shrub seedlings
Planting shovels
All of the supplies will be ready on site. Make sure you wear comfortable clothing, wear close-toed sturdy shoes, and remember to bring some water and sunscreen! Lastly, make sure someone has a camera to capture your great day in the trees!

This will be such an epic adventure:))

We will find out where we will be planting closer to the event.
