In light of the many challenges facing our Nation and our community, the need is great for club members to join one of our Rotary committees.

This week's committee spotlight is on Youth Services.

The Youth Services Committee members serve as advocates for the youth of our community and provide oversight for all youth programs including Interact, Rotaract, RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) and Youth Exchange. This committee is responsible for cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with BRC’s primary education partners, and committee members are needed to act as relationship managers with one of our many partner schools. If you like mentoring children or young adults or you still act like a kid—this is the committee for you!

The Youth Services committee also provides multiple opportunities for club members to provide service and support to our local schools that reflect BRC members' passions and interests with a focus on literacy by coordinating youth-related projects like Rotary Reader.

Please reach out to Brooklyn Valentine West at bvalentine@villageparkgroup.com if you are interested in promoting Rotary and encouraging young Rotarians through the Interact or Rotaract Clubs or if you want to help a child improve their reading skills through Rotary Reader.
