Camp Merry Heart in Hackettstown, NJ, is a facility of Easter Seals New Jersey that provides a wide variety of recreation and activities to people of all ages and all types of disabilities and special needs. More than 30,000 individuals have been served since its doors opened in 1954. Rotary District 7470 and now our new District 7475 has been and will be advocates and supporters of this camp. Most of this camp’s facilities have been maintained through funding and hands-on service from Rotary Clubs.
Camp Merrry Heart Service Day on August 8th is a carnival with various booths and activities sponsored by local Rotary Clubs working hands on with the Camps participants. It is also a time for Rotarians to visit the camp and see the operation first hand.
