Space Center Rotary’s Participation in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Projects

A well-traveled and experienced contributor to multiple Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) for the past 20 years, primarily focused on water and sanitation projects.  These projects have included multiple water well bore implementations, bio-sand water filter deployments, latrine construction, gravity dam construction and associated distribution systems, and hygiene training, across South and Central America.  Complimentary activities have been the construction and maintenance of housing, medical clinics, and educational classrooms for orphanages in Bolivia, Tanzania, and Haiti.  This combination of work has led to participation on multiple NGO Boards of Directors, including Chairmanships.  In all these endeavors, I have campaigned for and acquired institutional and private foundation funding as well as personal contributions to underwrite the projects cited.
