In 2017, The Rotary Foundation will celebrate its 100th Anniversary which was launched in 1917 with a $26.50 contribution (that's equivalent to $536 today) with the purpose of doing good in the world.  Has it grown?

In the 100 years since, The Rotary Foundation has funded MORE THAN $3B (that's BILLION with a "B") on humanitarian projects worldwide.  Who started these live-saving and life-changing projects?  A Rotarian had an idea, their Rotary club believed the project and worked to make it happen, and thanks to grants from The Rotary Foundation...the Rotarian's idea became a reality.  Projects are started at the club "grassroot" level, and Rotary clubs work together to make it succeed.

Between July 2015 and October 2016, Kingwood Rotary participated in $543,815 of Rotary Foundation Global Grants to help those in need.
In addition to our club's Global Grant for Mali, Kingwood Rotary's Board of Directors have approved for our club to partner with several other Rotary clubs on of Global Grants this year funded by The Rotary Foundation to provide clean water, food, economic development, education, and healthcare.
