Kingwood Rotarians Bruce & Carolyn Wise and Fellow Kingwood Rotarians Support the Rotary Fire Fighters Home

At the Rotary Fire Fighters Home Gala, which was emceed by Ernie Manouse with PBS Houston Channel 8, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel, Kingwood Rotarians Bruce and Carolyn Wise were thanked for their donation in the name of Kingwood Rotary Club to the Rotary Fire Fighter's Home of the "Four Fallen Heroes BBQ Pit" they won at a raffle.
Together with the $23,000 value of BBQ pit plus cash contributions from Kingwood Rotary Club and Kingwood Rotarians Charlie and Tommie Buscemi...the total contribution was $29,500.
The Rotary Fire Fighters Home will be the first of its kind in the world. It will provide temporary, fully furnished housing with 40-units to firefighters and other first responders at little or no cost, for use while they are undergoing treatment at the Texas Medical Center for any on- job injury or resulting work-related medical condition.
Special thanks to the University Area Rotary Club for this amazing project. By working together with other Rotary clubs and organizations, the Texas Medical Center will be the home for first responders that need a place to live while fighting for their lives.
