Rotary News
August is Rotary MEMBERSHIP and EXTENSIONS MONTH
To be an effective, relevant, and vibrant group within a community, a Rotary club needs to continually admit new members and retain current ones. A club's ability to serve the community is directly related to the strength and size of its membership base. A club that stays active encourages Rotarians to remain connected to the organization.
“Each Rotarian: Reach One, Keep One”
"Each Rotarian: Reach One, Keep One," the membership slogan approved by the RI Board of Directors, is a reminder that every Rotarian is responsible for inviting new members and keeping clubs active and vibrant. It also stresses that retention is an essential component of a strong club and membership base.
Finding members
New members bring important benefits to the club, including an increased capacity to serve the community, future leadership, diversity, and fresh ideas, interests, and energy.
Keeping members
Retaining qualified members is as critical to Rotary’s long-term health and success as inducting new ones. Current members who are dedicated, active, and motivated support the effective functioning of the club and are likely to attract new Rotarians.
Our Responsibility
While our Club has an active Membership Committee, all Members of our Club are responsible for “Finding” and Keeping” members – Yes….that means you!

The Rotary Club of Windsor - St. Clair’s 29th Rotary Auction on TV COGECO November 6th and 7h
Steve Knox’s Rotary home while away from home, Rotary Club of Windsor-St. Clair, is gearing up for its 29th Annual TV Auction which raised $50,000 last year. They are looking for donations of auctionable items worth at least $100.  Many Windsor folks have ties to London, so hotel overnights, meals, etc. would be appropriate to donations.  There is an online recognition site for people interested in the auction, so the earlier commitments will get press coverage for many months.

For further information on the auction and how you can participate as a donor, please contact Terry at 519-984-2443 or by email at Terry@clwindsor.org.
