For Monday, May 30th Meeting
This will be our annual interclub meeting with the Kiwanis Club of Forest City - London at the Mocha Shrine Centre, 468 Colbourne Street just north of Queens Avenue. Parking is in the rear and accessible from either Colbourne or Queens. Enter by side door and go up the stairs, then to your right. Limited parking at rear of building – please carpool if possible.
 
Our speakers will be Steve Cordes, Executive Director for Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) & Christina Fox, 3M Canada and member of YOU’s “The New Addition” Campaign.  They will be introducing Y.O.U.'s “The New Addition:  Providing a Community Hub for Youth, Mothers-To-Be and Young Mothers and Their Children”.
 
Each year Y.O.U serves more than 3,600 youth from 16 to 30 in London and Middlesex. They offer youth more than 20 programs and services in the areas of basic needs, housing, education, workshops, employment counselling, job skills development, job search and hands-on employment training. They serve all youth from those at risk to those seeking summer employment and have numerous supports and services in place and a caring staff to successfully meet their needs.

The Kiwanis meetings run from 12 noon to 1:30 pm.  The meal cost is $15 therefore we will be accepting cash and not using our prepaid tickets.

May is Rotary Youth Service Month
Each year, Rotary connects thousands of young people to a global network of friendshipservice, and action. As Rotaractors and Interactors, they make a difference in communities at home and abroad. Through Rotary Youth Exchange, they explore new cultures.  Through the Adventure in Citizenship Award and the  Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (Seminar for Tomorrow’s Leaders in our District) participants learn skills that will help them succeed as community leaders. Each year over 500,000 young people participate in Rotary Youth Service programs worldwide.

Check the District Website for more Conference details!!  Activities include: Annual Golf Tournament on June 9th; Motorcycle Rally & Tour; Interesting and Motivational Speakers; Annual General Meeting; Opportunities to Explore the Owen Sound Area.
