Although we have not been able to have lunch with each other on a weekly basis during the pandemic, we have redirected those funds to help those in need throughout our community.
  • From April to October, in partnership with Dixie's Diner, our club has been donating our weekly meals to sponsor the Thursday meals at the Soup Kitchen. We will resume this again in December, providing roughly 4,500 meals to date.
  • While the Soup Kitchen was closed, we donated the November meals budget of $3,000 to the Elks/Salvation Army for their Thanksgiving Meals activities (to-go meals and turkey purchases).
  • Our $2,500 cancelled summer picnic budget was donated to the St. Luke’s Episcopal Turkey Boxes, providing fifty $50 gift cards for purchasing Thanksgiving meals for families.
  • Idaho Falls School District 91 was able to provide a year of internet connectivity to multiple student families to assist with virtual learning thanks to a $5,000 donation from the club and a 50 percent grant match from the Rotary District Foundation.
Currently club leadership is discussing how to support a blood drive. More news to come!
