RI President Ian Riseley has asked each of the 1.2+ million Rotarian in the world to plant one tree this year in honor of Rotary's commitment to our world's environment. The Rotary Club of West U will be joining with the University Area and Bellaire Rotary clubs to do this at the Willow Waterhole Saturday morning, January 13, 2018 from 9:00 - 12:00.
Later we will be sending out additional information so our club can plant 110 trees. Many of us will be planters, some of us organizers and administrators and others supporters who will assist with food and refreshments. We wish that 100% of our members can feel they have contributed to making this project happen. We may even have a prize for the team that plants the most trees. More details to come as they are worked out.
