The International Service Committee (ISC) enthusiastically welcomed Dr. Robert Porter, MD, from the Rotary Club of Aspen. He spoke to the group about a large-scale effort by a number of renowned Rotary clubs across the country, with the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to combat malaria, a disease that kills 435,000 people a year. At its next meeting, ISC members will consider if - and to what extent - our club can get involved in this extremely worthwhile undertaking.
