Our guests last week were Gayle Knepper from Alaska e-club, Mike Collins from Red Built, Gloria Trueblood, Barbara Urdu and Jon Bart........Jon Bart gave us an update on the Project Hope effort in Sierra Leone, where we contributed toward a Rotary Global Grant.......despite some setbacks, the Cassava farm and processing facility is doing well.......Our speaker Ted Blueblood gave a fascinating talk on his experience at District Governor for D5010, which included Alaska, western Canada and Eastern Russia/Siberia......it was his uncle Ted who founded the Idaho Chapter of Trout Unlimited....and, small world, he got a degree in Civil Engineering from M.I.T. back in the 60s - one of his professors was Prof. John M Biggs ("oh yes, short and stocky like you!")......... One of Mary's dogs had surgery last week......Rick had a close encounter with a bear while camping..... exchange student Cecylia saw the eclipse in Weiser........Jack C., nice to see you!.......Have you checked out the recently completed Rotary Grand Plaza in Julia Davis Park yet? ...........Bret and Don did a 50 miler in the Wind River Range.....whew!
