Emily Johnson was officially inducted into membership last week. Emily was born and raised in Phoenix. She went to Mesa High, Arizona State and Northern Arizona State. In 2010 she and her husband picked up stakes and moved, sight unseen, to Boise, to get out of the heat of the desert. Emily's first job here was for Americorps/Vista working with the Corpus Christi House. (she sits on their Board today). She is now the Executive Director of Big Brother and Big Sisters. Her husband Jason works for the city over at Bown Crossing library. Oh yes, they have two dogs, Chelsea and Louie. And don't forget Little Jason the cat.Emily's hobbies are "all things Idaho", anything outdoors. She's become and avid gardener and is learning to can her own vegetables. And she does lots of volunteer work, like joining a Rotary club! welcome, Emily!
