The Rotary Club of Key West installs New Board Members
 
The Rotary Club of Key West (the Rotary Club that meets at noon) installed Rachel Oropeza as the 100th President of the club, succeeding Elizabeth MacLaughlin in the club’s top leadership position.
 
Attorney David Van Loon is president-elect for the 2015-16 year. Other club officers are Jill Cranney-Gage, treasurer; Albert Gonzalez, secretary; Michael Browning, sergeant-at-arms; and Alton Weekley, parliamentarian.
 
Rotary Club chairs include Debbie Mason, webmaster and public relations; Jim Fitton, fireworks; James Olive, membership; Ila Sutton, international service co-chair & director; Tom Nitti, international service co-chair; Pat Preuss, club services chair; Linda Russin, programs and public relations; Barry Gibson, Rotary Foundation; Roland Flowers and Cassandra Toppino, photographers; Jessica Cranney, fundraising; Sandy Higgs and Elizabeth MacLaughlin, Paul Harris Awards; and Albert Gonzalez, concert chair.
 
The Rotary Club of Key West, established in 1916, supports charities, such as its Dental Program for Key West children and the Hospital Albert Schweitzer in Haiti, and provides the Key West 4th of July Fireworks Celebration, plus college scholarships through fundraising events.
