The Rotary Club of The Woodlands is proud to be a  member of Rotary International and District 5910 (Southeast Texas). Rotary International is the oldest and largest service organization in the world, promoting Peace through Service.

Our members are active in many areas locally as well as internationally.  Some of our projects include:
  • Sponsoring five area high school Interact Clubs, many times the largest clubs in their school.  We sponsor the largest Interact Clubs in the U.S. and second in the world next to India.
  • Community restoration of homes and public spaces.
  • Awarding scholarships to our high school and community college students.
  • Mentoring third and fourth grade students in our local grammar school.
  • Promoting literacy.
  • Raising funds for the local food bank as well as participating in work days on site throughout the year.
  • Quarterly blood drive among our members.
  • Hosting and exchanging a international high school student for a school year every year.
  • Hosting young professionals from another country for a month each year.
  • Internationally, we are promoting peace through service by raising funds to eradicate polio (we are almost there), providing layettes for maternal and child care in Nicaragua, collecting teacher school supplies, raising funds to support the Betania Trade School in Chinendaga, Nicaragua, and many other projects as our club becomes aware of the needs.

If you are new to this site, you are encouraged to consider attending our Thursday noon meetings as you will be welcomed.  If you have questions, please call or e-mail any of our officers or Board of Directors.

Yours in Service,

Bill Friebel
President, 2014-2015
