Later in his life, while employed with Shell Oil he had the opportunity to visit a number ballparks but it was after retirement that he up’d his game and has written a boom, “Covering All The Bases – A Fan’s Quest to See a Game in Every Major League Ballpark”.

A self-proclaimed baseball nut, Stan has been to 54 baseball stadiums in his life, supporting 30 baseball teams. He shared his stories about…
• His first World Series in 1966.
• How he got into stadiums for events like Cal Ripken setting a new record, without a ticket
• His visit to the new Yankee Stadium - $10 for a pair of tickets 16 rows behind home plate, usually priced at $175 each
He has been to seven different World Series, five All Star games and has even thrown out the opening pitch at an Astro’s game in 2005. His greatest enjoyment has been the opportunity to visit with players and coaches and meeting the people behind the scenes.
