A small group of enthusiastic Rotarians and guests showed up to participate in the polio walk on Saturday, October 24th.  October 23rd was International Polio day and the walk is designed to bring attention to the fact, that through the efforts of Rotary and other international organizations like Unicef and WHO, we are close to eradicating this devastating disease world wide.  Only Pakistan and Afghanistan are are recording cases of polio.  Participants walked or ran the 5 + kilometers from Ryan Lockhart to Noggins Corner and back.  Thanks to everyone who took the time to come out and support this initiative.
