Citywide World Polio Day Event

Join us as the Lufkin Rotary Club partners with the Angelina Rotary Club and the City of Lufkin to recognize Rotary International's World Polio Day! Special Guest, Mayor Bob Brown, will be declaring October 24th as World Polio Day for Lufkin in a special proclamation.

World Polio Day acknowledges the work of Rotary International and our partnership with the Gates Foundation to eradicate polio worldwide. With only 11 cases so far in 2017, we are on track in the very near future to see polio be the second human disease completely eliminated from the world's population.
