Donna Swartz will be presenting on Galveston College's Industrial and Applied Technology programs, which include programs housed at the Charlie Thomas Applied Technology Center as well as the main campus. The presentation will include information on dual credit programs, stackable credentials, and the value of working with our local business and industry partners.

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) provides a comprehensive all-hazard emergency management program in partnership with City departments, staff, administration, neighboring jurisdictions, and non-governmental organizations in order to save lives, protect property, and safeguard the environment.

Sea Camp is a week-long residential adventure exploring the wonders of the marine and estuarine environments for campers ages 10-18. Sea Campers have access to research vessels, oceanographic equipment, laboratory facilities, and a professional staff enabling them to learn about the ocean through hands-on experiences.

CASA provides a consistent presence for the child and the family and help find, engage and strengthen a support network for the child and family. CASA volunteers are everyday people and members of the community, that are trained and supervised in their efforts to amplify the voice of children in court.

The founding partners of Fair Winds, Christie Cornelius and Camille Perkins moved to Galveston Island in early 2022 after Dr. Cornelius decided to press pause on her career as a veterinarian to pursue an MBA degree at Rice University.

Not long after being here in Galveston, they realized the strong sense of community and local favor present throughout the island. It motivated them to want to offer pet lovers something they’ve not experienced before.
