The "Rotary Connects The World" Music Park is currently under construction at our local Veterans Park in College Station. This unique endeavor by Rotary District 5890, which encompasses Houston and its surrounding areas, is being led by their District Governor, Gary Gillen, who is an Aggie. It is customary for this neighboring Rotary District to host their annual District Conference outside of Houston and to incorporate a service project in whichever community hosts the conference. Bryan/College Station was selected as their conference city for 2020 and will benefit from this $40,000 outdoor musical playground project!! There were forty D5890 Clubs and seven individual Rotarians who donated to make this possible. The Bryan Rotary Club has also committed funds to plant a large mature tree at the playground site for shade and to commemorate our 100th Club Anniversary. 

Local Rotarians are encouraged to attend and celebrate the park dedication on July 4, 2020.

• Special Presentation Honoring Vietnam Veterans (Vietnam War Memorial Site)
  • ​If you are, or know of, a Vietnam era Veteran, email Bunny with your enlisted name, years of service, Branch, & pay grade. Must have served anywhere from November 1957 to May 1975.
• Walking Tours of the Veteran's Memorial Statues (led by Bryan Rotarians)
• Optional Picnic Box Lunch @ 12:00 pm (hosted at American Pavilion - $25 per person - register by 6/15/20 - click here)

These will be simple tours along the Lynn Stuart Pathway at Veterans Park showcasing the statues and history panels. We will use our Bryan Rotary Statue Match worksheet as a walking guide (see attached).
