President Wendell gave a brief history of some of the pioneers from his home state of Tennessee such as Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone.

He went on to share all of the pioneering efforts of Cupertino Rotarians over the years.  "Yes, We did that!"   He said our club will continue to be a pioneering club going forward.

We heard reports of what we've done from our Service Committee presidents, several with coon skin caps, just like President Wendell. More important we were reminded of the busy year ahead and what we will do to live out our motto of Service Above Self.

Rotary's theme for the year is "Be a gift to the World."  President Wendell said that on our Cupertino Rotary Frontier, our job is to cherish our members, love and uplift our community, and bring health, harmony and enlightenment to the world.

We love our job!
