President Judy reminded members of the District 5170 AOS event Saturday, October 22 from 9am to 1:30pm at the Double Tree Hotel in San Jose.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Josh Selo reported that volunteers are needed to carve pumpkins on October 28th in order to helplocal seniors celebrate Halloween. There are two times to choose from: 9:30am-11am at Live Oak Adult Day Services [project coordinator Josh Selo] and 2:30pm-4:30pm at The Forum [project coordinator Don Sun].

 

 
Anjali Kausar reminded members that the November 2 meeting will be an evening program with many activities celebrating Diwali.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Jim Gibson invited members to participate in the distribution of meals on Thanksgiving morning.  Meals will be picked up at the Safeway at the corner of Homestead and De Anza at 8:30 and then distributed by 9:30.  This years 120 meals will be distributed.  Contact George Denise for more information and to sign up.
