Ken Wayne anchors the KRON4 evening newscasts at 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., Monday through Friday. Wayne is an award-winning journalist who's served the Bay Area since 1992.

Born in Marin County, Wayne traveled the world as a Navy Journalist, taking him on assignments from the Aleutian Islands, to the coast of Libya. His career started at a small TV and FM radio station in Adak, Alaska. He’s also worked at Subic Bay, in the Philippines and aboard the USS Biddle, a guided missile cruiser based in Norfolk, Va.

After the Navy, Wayne started in Palm Springs at KESQ in 1985. From there, he went on to Chico, Fresno, Los Angeles, and finally home to the Bay Area.

Before joining KRON4 in 2018, Wayne anchored the weekday and weekend newscasts for the Bay Area’s FOX affiliate station and earned Peabody and Edward R. Murrow awards for his reporting.

When not at work, Ken enjoys piloting his small plane across California and the West. He also has a healthy obsession for karaoke.
