It’s time for our annual Club lobster bake! 

The festivities will begin at 5 pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Fort Williams picnic shelter.  Dinner will be served at approximately 5:30 pm

The traditional menu will include a choice of two lobsters or one steak or a vegetarian burger meal ( or hamburger or hot dog for kids’ orders).  Each dinner also will include clam chowder, corn, potato salad, cole slaw, cake and drinks; the charge will be about $35.00 (to be determined in July per the market price of lobster.)  The charge per child is $5.00. 

 

In order for us to plan better and accurately order the food, please respond as soon as possible (July 5 is the deadline; it’s coming right up!) by email to Anne at anne.swiftkayatta@gmail.com with your answers to both of the following questions:

--Your name

--Number of adults you will bring (include yourself and list names)

--Number of kids you will bring

--Do you want a lobster dinner (2 lobsters/person), a steak dinner, a veggie burger dinner, or hamburger/hotdog (for kids)? 

2.     Can you help?  We need help with the following jobs; the more people who can help, the better!   

Set Up :  4-5 pm (move supplies from Fire Barn to picnic shelter at 4 pm; then, unload supplies/move tables/set tables/drinks/food prep/husk corn/start grills/etc.) 

Cook/Serve:  5-6 pm (cook steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn; warm chowder; melt butter; serve food) 

Clean Up:  done by 7:45 pm (clean off tables, wash out pots, load trash/recycling, load propane burner, etc. into truck, return stuff to Fire Barn) 

Other specific jobs: 

Can you lend us your gas grill to cook steaks/burgers?  We need two grills.   

Can you transport grill to/from the Fort?  

Can you pick up the propane burner and stock pots from One Stop Party Shop on Wednesday and bring it to the Fort by 4 pm on Wednesday, July 8?  (Need a truck or van.)          

Can you return the propane burner/pots to One Stop on Thursday, July 9?  (Need a truck or van.)  

Can you fill ice chest with ice and bring to Fort Wednesday afternoon by 4 pm?  

Can you pick up one or two boxes of coffee from Dunkin Donuts and bring them to the lobster bake on Wednesday?  

Can you pick up pre-ordered corn (produce dept.), sheet cake (bakery dept.), and cole slaw (deli dept.) at Shaw’s Millcreek on Wednesday, July 8 and bring to Ft. Williams? 

            Can you pick up some groceries on the day before the bake? 

Can you help move supplies back to Fire Barn at end of lobster bake? 

Can you wash the dirty utensils, etc. at your home and then get them back to the Fire Barn? 

Can you transport a truck load of trash and recycling to the CE dump after the lobster bake?  

Please send me your answers as soon as possible to these two questions; i.e., attendance/food choice and how you can help.

Two important notes:

1.   The deadline for you to respond is July 5, ten business days before the lobster bake, so we can finalize food orders with our vendors.  The Club’s membership has grown since last year and space may be tight, so please let Anne know whether or not you are coming.
