Rotary is all about service and leadership and this year’s Rotarian Of The Year, Bobbi McCombs, is a shining example of that. Bobbi joined Littleton Rotary in October, 2014 and attends our Evening Meeting and has wasted no time in volunteering in numerous activities.

The food bank program at Centennial Academy (Centennial Elementary) was about to collapse due to lack of storage space, funds, and volunteer parents willing to serve. On learning of this situation, our Evening Meeting leaders agreed to take over the program, called Arty’s Friday Food Bag, and immediately Bobbi stepped forward to manage it, organize volunteers, secure food donations and funding, and coordinate delivery of the food to Centennial for the benefit of over 70 families in the greatest need.

When learning of our Alferd Packer Bacon Party fundraiser and the frustrations in securing vendors willing to exhibit, sell, and provide free bacon samples, she stepped forward and used her influence as a representative for Boar’s Head Products to have their bacon product as the exclusive bacon vendor.

Her devotion to service and her amazing leadership are truly an example to all Rotarians of what Service Above Self is all about. Congratulations, Bobbi! You lead by example and we’re grateful you are a Littleton Rotarian.
