Rotary Business Networking Deeper Dives

Rationale:  The Rotary Business Networking Breakfast series, launched in January, 2019 has attracted a loyal following of high-integrity professionals to the once-monthly gatherings. Many relationships have been launched, and some have become productive. The strongest bonds appear to be between people who have invested additional time in building relationships between meetings.

As a follow-up, we are launching a second session each month that will dive deeper into a topic in order to learn more, create stronger relationships, and generate more business success through collaborative learning and mutual support.

Diving Deeper Session: “5 for 5:00”

Pre-registered participants meet briefly as a full group and then break are randomly sorted into groups of five +/-. Each person is allocated five minutes to engage with the topic for the session, and the last five minutes are time to distill key takeaways to share with the larger group.

We anticipate having 15 or more participants, which will allow us to use the same topic for three consecutive months so that everyone hears and shares with the broadest cross-section of other participants.

Topic I: “What’s your why?” Participants share and speak more deeply about what they do, why they do it, and how they do it. We anticipate doing two, three or four sessions using this topic.

Topic II: “Storytelling for Growth” Participants share stories of customer or client successes as a way to demonstrate business value and reveal points of differentiation. We anticipate doing two, three or four sessions using this topic.

Topic III: “What’s My Line” As business people responsible for growth and success, we’re all always refining our introduction, pitch, elevator, commercial and other ways of presenting ourselves, our business, our value and vision. During these sessions, we’ll present, explore the impact of every aspect of our communication, and work together to help each other improve. We anticipate doing two, three or four sessions using this topic.

Dates and Times:  The first three sessions are 4:30-5:30 p.m. on:
  • Tuesday, July 14
  • Tuesday, August 11
  • September 15
