SOM and Tatsuya Hayase, Rotary Peace Scholar

Tatsuya Hayase is a Rotary Peace Scholar from Japan who is studying in Boston.  Rotary Newton is providing support to Tatsuya. 

He is a graduate student of the COEX Program at Heller school, with particular interests in mediation and assistance work in a transitional period for conflict-affected regions and countries. Prior to enrolling at Heller school, he worked for the Japan International Cooperation Agency almost 10 years. He was in charge of formulating and implementing programs and projects for Sudan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Sierra Leone, Angola, Bangladesh and Palestine through the work in HQ, and overseas offices in Palestine and Bangladesh. His goal is to work for the UN Department of Political Affairs or the UNPeacekeeping Operations as a mediator of conflicts.
