Newton native Emilia Diamant is executive director of the Jeremiah Project, a nonprofit which, since 1998,  has been partnering with low-income single mothers and their young children to help families move from poverty to prosperity, two generations at a time. The organization has been in the Boston area for approximately 2 years and are currently working with 23 families from Dorchester, South Boston, Roxbury, Revere, Malden and Brighton. They take a holistic approach to working with families; moms are enrolled in career-track college educational programs at Endicott College Boston, children are placed in high quality early childhood programs, families find a sense of community at space located in Dudley Square, and staff and volunteers provide intensive life skills coaching and classes. Being relatively new to Boston, Emilia looks forward to introducng Rotary to the Jeremiah Project and its families.
