Bring your lunch and join us at The Allen House for a Million Dollar Meal* on Wednesday, February 8th from noon to 1:30. Guests are ALWAYS welcome and there is no guest fee for this meeting (although they do need to bring their lunch too!).
The Allen House is the pre-Civil War home of renowned educator Nathaniel Topliff Allen, later used as a progressive school run by his daughters, it is currently being revitalized by the Newton Cultural Alliance (NCA) who purchased the property three years ago. It will be used as a cultural center, with teaching, rehearsal, performance and office spaces for arts organizations; public indoor and outdoor spaces; and a rotating exhibit on the history of this Newton Historic Landmark.
Thank you to our host, Adrienne Hartzell and the NCA / New Philharmonia Orchestra.
*Million Dollar Meals are meetings where members pay their usual lunch fee but also bring a bag lunch to the meeting (in Newton, our Million Dollar Meals are generally at a special venue). The $20 is donated to the club or often a special charity. The idea is that if every Rotary Club did this on the same day we would raise a million dollars.
