Helpsy Clothing Drive #1

HELPSY is the largest clothing collection recycling company on the East Coast. In 2020, they helped to divert over 30 million tons of waste.

We need 1-3 Rotary volunteers for one Saturday a month on the dates shown below.

The volunteers will help unload bagged clothing/textile products from the residents' cars and onto rolling carts and HELPSY collection truck.

The clothing drives will be held at a designated outside location at The Shops at Chestnut HIll (Chestnut Hill Mall), with which HELPSY has made the arrangements.

This is a collaboration betwene Green Newton, City of Newton, and Newton Rotary.

This is also a fundraising opportunity for us in that HELPSY pays the hosting organization per pound of clothing collected.
