Leslie Perrin Wilson, Curator of Special Collections at the Concord Free Public Library, spoke at the Sunrise Satellite meeting of the Rotary Club of Concord on Dec. 3. Leslie's recounting of the history of the Munroes of Lexington and Concord provided glimpses of life in our area from 1651 on, with some special notes about 1776. She pointed out that we have William Munroe to thank for establishing the Library, surmounting many obstacles to obtain the site, erect the building, formulate the administrative structure, and more. All are encouraged to view the collaborative exhibit by the Library and the Lexington Historical Society, currently showing in the art space at the Concord Library.Imagei Photo: Leslie Wilson signs a copy of her Guidebook to Concord for Rotarian Ann Trudeau.
