Norman Hylton is a current senior studying Neurobiology with a Secondary in Global Health and Health Policy at Harvard University. She grew up in Lincoln, MA and attended Lincoln Public Schools and Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.
This summer, she will be pursuing a 6-week fellowship at the Cuban Neurosciences Center in Havana, Cuba. She will be working in a laboratory studying the impact of childhood malnutrition on long-term health outcomes in a 50-year follow up study with Cuban collaborators of Dr. Janina Galler at Massachusetts General Hospital. The project seeks to continue Dr. Galler's efforts to map the impact of malnutrition on brain development to inform health policy and health interventions. She recently received an award from Harvard to support her travel to Cuba, however, she is reaching out to see if it may be possible to apply for supporting funds from the Concord Rotary Club for this project.
