Kate Hanley is Director of Sustainability for the Town of Concord,  where she is focused on achieving the Town’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions 80% by 2050. This goal was created by Article 51 adopted at the 2017 Town Meeting and aligns the town with the Paris Climate Accord and the Massachusetts Global Warming Solutions Act. Kate comes to Concord after 5 years with Environmental Defense Fund in Boston. There, she managed EDF Climate Corps, a network of professionals united to advance climate solutions and the leading graduate fellowship program designed to help companies and organizations across the country meet their energy and sustainability goals. Kate holds a dual degree from Clark University, MBA and M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy, as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
