Chelmsford Rotary - Service Activities

Rotary International has identified six major themes of its own worldwide project focus and project funding.  Clubs are encouraged to choose projects in one or more of these areas.  They are:


• Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
• Disease prevention and treatment
• Water and sanitation
• Maternal and child health
• Basic education and literacy
• Economic and community development


Our club has chosen to emphasize projects in the areas of education and literacy as well as economic and community development.  We have also supported international projects with a local Pretoria, South African Rotary club which focus on both the water and sanitation and disease prevention and treatment.  These pictures highlight some of those recent projects.
