Elias Audy and Marina Brodskaya, co-chairs of the event, and Hadley Weinberg, Treasurer, presented checks to the dancers representing their shares of the proceeds of Dancing with the Brookline Stars. The total net amount raised for charitable works was over $141,000!
Jerry Billow raised over $47,000 for the Brookline Senior Center. Elaine Shannon raised over $27,000 for the charity, Kids Clothes Club. Elaine Joseph raised over $12,000 for the Brookline Mental Health Center. Police Chief Dan O’Leary raised over $13,000 for the Hayes Foundation. Polly Selkoe raised over $9,000 for Brookline Greenspace Alliance. Nadia Chamblin-Foster raised over $10,000 for Steps to Success. Phil Sandler raised over $8,000 for Arts Bridge. Brookline Rotary will distribute $12,000 to other charitable causes. The total net amount raised for charitable works was over $141,000. The amount of the checks reflected the deduction of $5,000 for the Brookline Rotary Club to pay for overhead for the event and to make additional charitable donations to be designated by the Brookline Rotary Club.
