Brookline Rotary was host to five delegates from the northeast district of Italy, District 2060, led by Elisabetta Fabbri, an architect from Venice specializing in restoration of historic buildings, including La Scala opera house.  Domenico Teker, Director of Education for the Italian Consulate to Boston, joined us Thursday, May 21, to welcome them and bring the greetings of the embassy to Brookline Rotary.  Mr. Teker lives with his wife and children in Brookline, and is working to encourage the teaching of Italian in U.S. schools.

Carrie Carrizosa, George Chapman, Joyce Graff, Susan Rack and Phil Sandler provided housing and the five enjoyed their visit to Brookline and Boston, including a night at the POPS.  At our meetings on Thursday they shared their goals and experiences during their three weeks in our Rotary District.  Dr Indira Desai of the Newton Rotary club coordinated the Exchange.
