Roatan, Honduras, Rescue Mission Trip

Brookline Rotary will meet at 7 AM at Brothers Restaurant, 404 Harvard Street, Brookline MA  02446.  The meeting begins at 7:15 and ends at 8:15.

Coffee and many breakfast options are available from their very creative menu if desired (or not).

We will hear from Chris Zammitti about the Roatan, Honduras Rescue Mission Trip, a group of doctors, nurses, and students based out of UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Every year, we travel to Roatan, an island off of Honduras, for a week to bring much needed medical supplies and aid to the island's only public hospital. We typically perform about 20 surgeries while there but our main contribution comes in the form of paying for patient's surgeries and bringing new technology, supplies, and practices to the underfunded hospital and its doctors. We work in conjunction with the Westborough, MA Rotary Club as well the Rotary Club in Roatan to raise money and help deliver supplies.
