FOR THOSE ROTATIANS WHO MISSED THE TUESDAY, MARCH 24, 2015 MEETING

We had a very fun Program at Tuesday’s meeting. Thank you to Ms. Diane Maltby, of the Steamboat Springs Middle School, the Steamboat Springs Middle School Youth Robotics Team and the accompanying parents. We observed demonstrations by the team members of Robots programmed by the team to perform certain tasks and in Robotics Competitions. Our Steamboat Springs Middle School Robotics Team has acquitted itself quite well in the Robotics Competitions it has entered. Most impressive – thank you again!

Joan Ihrig and Rich Gloor served as our Greeters and Rich introduced our guests and visiting Rotarians. Thank you both. Joan also gave us our Thought for the Day, patterned on Stephen Covey’s habits of successful people. Thank you, Joan.

We also celebrated Club Anniversaries: Erik Griepentrog, (3 yrs.), Rod Hanna (32 yrs.), Paul Hebert, (4 yrs.), Matt Lieven, (2 yrs.), Jim Nowak, (27 yrs.), and Kathie Sack, (3 yrs.)

Thank you to Debbie Aragon for organizing the singing at: “The Doak,” in Casey’s Pond. Thank you to our singers: Debbie, Cheryl Krumrie, Steve Sehnert, Tara Weaver, Ron Thom, Paula Cooper Black, Dan Bonner, Karen McRight and Lori Livingston.

Seba thanked everyone whom participated in his Bingo-Night Fund-raiser. Seba exceeded his financial goal for the year end bus trip with the other Exchange Students in District 5440. Thank you as well to Sharon and Gareth Mensing, Tara Weaver and Lynaia South who organized the Bingo-Night.

We received multiple thank you notes, (some very creative), from the students who received our dictionaries. Thank you Cam Boyd for organizing that Program.

We received a thank you note from the “Girlz Group” at Sorocco High School for our financial support of their weekly meeting.

Scott Marr handled Good News for us. Thank you, Scott.

Reminder – Our Interact Club and Boys and Girls Club members/representatives will be at our next meeting to sell tickets to the Morning Club’s “Red Ball Express – Fund-raiser.” You must buy your tickets from one of them in order for the $5.00 of the $10.00 ticket price to go directly to one of those organizations.
