Flower Barrels are high on the Agenda this week. Tuesday and also Wednesday, (not by design), we delivered flowered barrels and beautified our city. Tuesday evening we had a Bar-B-Que at the Rodeo Grounds for Rotarians and families, catered by: The Smokehouse, Butcherknife Brewery and Central Park Liquors. Thank you to our caterers. But, most of all a huge Thank You to Kathy Elliott and Gillian Morris, who ran the Flower Barrel show, from start to finish. Save the date: Flower Barrel pick-up, Tuesday, September 15, 2015 – followed by a Bar-B-Que!
We need a Rotarian to step up and Chair organizing our entry in the 4th of July Parade. Suzanne Schlicht will help, but will be out of town over the 4th of July weekend.
Suzanne also stepped up to help us say:  “Farewell” to former very active Club Rotarian, Jenny Wall.  Jenny and Gary moved on Wednesday to Santa Cruz, CA. Jenny’s last of many contributions to our Club was serving on the Peace Pavilion Committee and designing the logo for it. Jenny, we thank you for all your many contributions to our Club and our Steamboat Springs community. You will be missed and please know that you are always welcome here.
Also, high on the Agenda this week is our preparations for the Ski Town Golf Classic this Friday and Saturday, June 12 and 13, 2015. “Big doings” Friday evening at The Sheraton! We also have over 100 golfers registered for golf at the Catamount Golf Club on Saturday. Thank you to all our sponsors for all their support, especially Alpine Bank, our presenting sponsor. Another huge Thank You to Jackie Brown, Chair, Co-Chairs Tara Weiss and Glenn Traylor, and the entire Committee for all the work each of you have put in to what will no doubt be a very successful event.
