Tyler Briggs is the Epidemiologist for Wood and Seneca County. His education includes a Bachelor’s of Science from Slippery Rock University and Masters of Public Health from the Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health. Tyler began working in public health with the 6-Pact of Northwest Ohio as an Epidemiologist before coming to his current role as Epidemiologist and Back-up Regional Coordinator for Northwest Ohio. Tyler’s role in public health includes the investigation of reportable diseases as well as outbreak investigations in Wood and Seneca County. He also plays a role in food complaint investigations and environmental health concerns. Tyler serves on several committees including the Northwest Ohio Regional Coordination Team, Northwest Ohio Exercise Design Team, and the Ohio Emerging Pathogens Coalition. Although his role primarily focuses on infectious disease, Tyler also has a great interest in chronic disease as well as a passion for Epigenetics.
