PDG Rhonda Kennedy

    District 5890

 Rhonda Kennedy joined the Rotary Club of Sweeny in 1994.   She served as Club President in 1999-2000.  Immediately following her Presidential year, Rhonda served as Assistant Governor in 2000-2001 and again in 2001-2002.  Rhonda has served District 5890 every year since 2002 in various capacities  and served as the District 5890 Governor in 2008-2009. Rhonda has served District 5890 as the 2016 Council on Legislation Delegate, 2017 Zone 27 & 21b Zone Institute Chairman and the Host Organization Chairman for 2022 Rotary International Convention to be held in Houston. Rhonda is the recipient of the  2018 recipient of the Rotary International Service Above Self Award.

Rhonda and husband Eric or both members of the Paul Harris Society, Major Donors and members of the Bequest Society.      Rhonda and Eric have been married since 1979 and they have 2 sons, 2 Daughter in laws and 4 beautiful grandchildren.   Eric and Rhonda moved from Houston to Sweeny in 1979.  Rhonda has managed their Simmental cattle operation since 1992.  Eric and Rhonda retired in 2010 and spend much of their time in Port Mansfield, Texas doing what they love…fishing.
