January's Presentation:  Cryptocurrency - Huh???

We are very pleased to have as our guest presenter, Shezad Kapadia, Managing Partner at AMSYS Digital Asset Fund, LP.  Shezad will introduce us to the world of cryptocurrency, and if you have ever wondered just what the “heck” is cryptocurrency, then this is a must attend presentation.

Cryptocurrencies have become a global phenomenon, and though not understood by most people, banks, governments, and many companies are aware of its importance.  Otherwise, most of us are dazed and confused by this new form of digital cash.

Shezad will walk us through the birth of digital cash, help explain why it is so technical and complex, how it is gaining traction, and the protections available for buyers and investors.

About Shezad Kapadia:
Prior to joining the Investment Manager, Mr. Kapadia served as a director at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, Inc. (“Société Générale”), from September 2012 to May 2018, where he oversaw a team of associates and analysts in the bank’s Commercial and Investment Banking division. During his time with Société Générale, Mr. Kapadia played an integral role in the origination, structuring, and placing of over $3.5 billion of financings within the equity and debt capital markets. Mr. Kapadia received multiple top achiever awards with Société Générale, including being inducted into the bank’s Emerging Leaders Program.

AMSYS started as a break-fix information technology (“IT”) shop and within twelve years it has become an international IT services provider.

Shezad is an expert in both Blockchain and Cryptocurrency technologies and heads the AMSYS Digital Asset Fund for the Cryptocurrency market.
