Services for John Mayer

There will only be one service for COL (Ret) John Mayer; it will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, December 19 at 2 P.M. Colonel (Ret) John Mayer, a member of our club for 11 years, passed away on Saturday, November 26^th at a San Antonio area nursing home.  He is resting in heaven with his beloved Nancy.

 

John was truly an inspiration to all who knew him.   He served as Sergeant-in-Arms during the year I was Club President and for many years partnered with Richard Diller in the supporting both the Crawfish Boil and Food for Families.   A longtime member of Lifeway Fellowship, John was an avid supporter of the Republican Party of Bell County, serving as the county vice-chair, and as a member of Killeen’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
